Join the Anthropology Club for a Japanese-themed evening of discussion and entertainment. Professor Lorraine Plourde (Anthropology & Media, Society, and the Arts) will present the 1996 film Shall We Dance, directed by Masayuki Suo.

Prof. Plourde, who has conducted several years of ethnographic research in Tokyo and Yokohama, invites students, faculty, and staff to participate in a brief discussion about the recent events in Japan and how to contribute to relief efforts.

Following will be a screening of the critically acclaimed film Shall We Dance (winner of 14 Japanese Academy Awards), about a disheartened salaryman who rediscovers his love for life.

The evening also includes Japanese music and snacks.
