Check Moodle to see if your books are on Library Reserves!

Did you know you can check out required textbooks and course readings on Reserve at the Library?  Just log into your class’s Moodle page to see what books are on Reserve!

The Bookstore is returning all unsold books used for Spring 2011 semester to the publisher very soon, so make sure you have all the textbooks you need!  Don’t wait until the last minute to buy that one book you desperately need for tomorrow’s exam.  If you have not yet purchased your required course materials for this semester, you’ll want to stop by the bookstore soon.

But what if you only need one chapter?  Or you’re waiting for your copy to arrive in the mail but need to do your homework before tomorrow’s class?

Library Reserves Box on Moodle

What the Library Reserves Box on Moodle Looks Like

You can check your course’s Moodle page to see which books your professor has placed on physical Reserve in the library.  Just look for the gray box titled “Library Reserves.”  Reserve items are shelved at the Circulation Desk and can be checked out for three hours.

Not every textbook for every class has been placed on Library Reserves, so you’ll definitely want to make sure you have a backup plan for accessing the required texts you need.

Professors: If you’d like to place an item on physical reserve at the library, please follow these directions for placing reserve requests through Moodle.

If a required book in stock at the Bookstore will not be used until later in the semester, please let the Bookstore know by emailing<>.   And please help remind your students that any books they still need should be purchased ASAP before the Bookstore runs out.
