Elections are Tues. Nov. 5th. Be an Informed Voter!

Tuesday November 5th is Election Day in New York.  Voters will decide a number of local races and statewide ballot initiatives in this off-year election.  To learn more about the candidates, the five referendums, and to find your polling place or check your registration status, visit the New York League of Women Voter’s website, http://www.lwvny.org/.

The New York League of Women Voters provides nonpartisan information about each candidate and ballot initiative.  You can even search your address on the national website, Vote411.org, to see if you are registered to vote and where your polling place is.

Check out this handy Voter Guide/Personalized Ballot for those of you who live on campus here at Purchase. Click “Find My Information” then “Go to My Races” then “All Races” to see a list of all the races on the ballot from judges to Westchester County Executive.  You can email or text yourself your ballot summary… you can even share it on Facebook and Twitter.

Vote411 is also available for smartphones.  Scan this QR code to get voting information on your mobile phone!
