The Library and TLTC invite you to learn how to manage your online identity in our next workshop.
Whether you have your own web site (or online portfolio), or not, you have an online presence. This workshop will be an introduction to, and discussion of, different online tools to help you manage it, professionalize it, and enhance it.

Do you have a personal web presence (blog, portfolio, web site, etc.)? Do you maintain online profiles? Are you on social media sites? Do you want to learn how to better manage, maintain, and professionalize your online presence? This hands-on workshop will introduce you to freely available tools that will enhance your web visibility, making it easier for people to find you; and will introduce you to tools that allow you to easily find out what others are saying and posting about you, as well as who is citing your publications. We will look at LinkedIn, Academia.edu, Google+ (profile/alerts/ scholar), Social Mention, Topsy, and Twitter Search. There will be time for discussion and online searching.
