Is Social Media a Professional Necessity?

TODAY!  Thursday February 20th, 12:30pm-2:00pm

Purchase College faculty, staff, and students who use social media professionally will share their perspectives on the present and future state of social media and its uses — or perhaps abuses– in job-hunting and in the professional world.

Panelists:

  • Gerard Davis: Junior majoring in Media, Society, & the Arts; Social Media Intern for Career Development Center; Co-president of FORTH
  • Dr. David Jameson: Lecturer in New Media; Co-founder of Deskew Technologies
  • Jessica Mazzia: Assistant Director of Employer/Technical Services for Career Development Center
  • Linda Solomon: Lecturer in Arts Management; Social Media Manager for Communications & Creative Services

Moderator:  Carrie Marten, Resource Sharing Librarian.
