Purchase Student Leads Watercolor Workshop at Harrison Public Library

Milai Liang, an artist/illustrator and Purchase student, is leading a workshop series on Chinese Watercolor Painting at Harrison Public Library.  These hands-on workshops meet Tuesdays at 11:00am from September 22nd – October 27th.  All are welcome and all supplies are provided.

Workshop description:

Learn how to introduce Chinese painting techniques while using watercolor brushes, paints, and paper. The brushstrokes and style of Chinese painting combined with methods of watercolor painting allow for spontaneity and help capture the essence of your subject.s Use your brush in new ways–and discover watercolor techniques to have fun while you’re painting. The blend of Eastern and Western art theories, materials, and techniques combine to encourage graceful simplicity.
