Scare Up a Good Movie! Check Out the Library’s Horror Films for Halloween.

Looking for spooky Halloween viewing? The Library has new and classic horror films!  This list includes some great films from the bone-chilling to the bizarre, but to find additional scary movies in our collection, use the “Films/Video” search tab on the Library homepage to search for the title of the film you want or search for “Horror Films” as a Subject.

To check out a film, use the call number (e.g. Popular Collection DVD 2524) to find the DVD case, shelved in numerical order on either side of the Reference Desk.  Then take the case up to the Circulation Desk and enjoy!

FEATURED FILMA Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is Vampire Western set in Tehran and created by Iranian-American first-time director Ana Lily Amirpour. This film has something for everyone, blending brooding vampires with dark comedy, a strong female lead, international flavor, and indie film cinematography. Check it out with the call number Popular Collection DVD 4720.
